BUILDING & DECORATING, Ashton Hill, Corston
Robinson and Sons recently undertook extensive building and decorating work to this 150 year old cottage in the village of Corston, Near Bath.
The work included full renovation of the external window frames, fascias and French windows. This involved detailed preparation, repair of the work surfaces as well as necessary replacement of the wooden frames where required before reaching a sound surface for the application of several coats of paint, in order to get the required standard of finish.
The roof ridge and hips also required complete restoration, as did the chimney stacks, necessitating the erection of scaffolding.
"All the work has been done to an excellent standard and we are delighted with the finished result," says home owner Anthony Birts.
"Despite having to often work in poor weather conditions Robinsons proved totally reliable and very efficient indeed. They kept the work area neat and tidy and always cleaned up well after themselves. The overall attitude and approach was excellent and I am happy to recommend their work."
